6-week Agripreneurship Orientation Program inaugurated at Mahamana Agri-Business Incubator

Mahamana Agri-business Incubator, IIT (BHU), Varanasi conducted first Agripreneurship Orientation Program for the selected start-ups under RKVY -RAFTAAR scheme. Selected start-ups will be provided 6 weeks training program starting from 24th August 2019.

Chief Guest Shri P. S. Ojha, State Coordinator of U.P. State Bio-energy Development Board and Prof. P.K.Mishra, Principal Investigator, RKVY-RAFTAAR scheme garlanded the statue of Mahamana Pt. Madan Mohan Malaviyaji and lighted the Diya.

Initiating the Orientation Program, Prof. P. K. Mishra elucidated about the emerging possibilities in agribusiness and related fields and said that the basic spirit of this program is to raise the standard of living of the farmers and promote the technologically related industries.

Shri. P. S. Ojha sharing his experiences in the program described in detail about the policies of the government. He also gave several examples of many successful entrepreneurs and startups working in the field of agricultural entrepreneurship in Uttar Pradesh on waste to wealth.

After the inaugural address, successful entrepreneur, Mr. Prashant Mishra spoke about how solar energy can be used in agriculture and answered many queries of the start-ups.

Dr. B. Jirli conducted 2 very interesting sessions on Advance technologies for agriculture & IT for Rural Development. He also carried out very interesting activities like ‘Building towers with wooden block’ to test team spirit, quick thinking abilities, decision making, and risk-taking abilities, etc. Participants took part in these activities with full zeal.
