A workshop on “Solid waste management system and RKVY-RAFTAAR Scheme”
A workshop on “Solid waste management system and RKVY-RAFTAAR Scheme” was organized at MCIIE, IIT (BHU) Varanasi. Prof. P.K. Mishra (Principal Investigator, RKVY-RAFTAAR) explained the importance of RKVY-RAFTAAR scheme and also explained to the farmers community how they can resolved their basic problems and increase their income through this scheme. Garbage Clinic Fame, Sh. Praveen Nayak shared his experience to the farmers and NGOs. He showed some products like bricks, plastic tiles, fuel etc that was made by garbage collected from cities and rural areas. He told that how we can make money from garbage and solve a huge problem of this country. A social worker from Mahoba, Sh. Dharmendra Mishra also shared his experience.
A water harvesting device is launched in this workshop which have a very cheaper cost and very useful. At the end of workshop, Prof. P. K. Mishra said if anyone have some idea which can solve the solid waste issue and can be used in agriculture sector can apply in RKVY-RAFTAAR Scheme before 20th June 2019.
